Red & Lige hit the ground running with the brilliant 'All Night Long', fantastic bluegrass and hillbilly bop with the expected great fiddle, steel and humorous dual vocals. The flip is the usual slower number but both are a look into the changing styles in country and Bluegrass around this time and this disc shows that Hank Williams had started to gather interest around this time.

If you want Hillbilly Boogie in your life then your search is over folks! what we have here is Hillbilly Boogie perfection with the Turner Bros on dual vocals and rhythm guitar and Roy Lanham on Lead guitar for what can only be described as a "Scorcher"
This could have been recorded in 1952 and you wouldn't argue with it but the fact is it was recorded in mid 1948!!! ....damn fine!!!!.......Roy is hot hot hot on that 6 string for 1948 !!!!!

Lawrence Walker was a very renowned Cajun music Accordion player and had a stack of releases on Khoury through 1951 into 1952 .

This little beauty kicks of with accordion and you think it's just a run of the mill Cajun waltz but then Bam! here comes some delightful hillbilly and boy oh boy it does the job! well it was enough for me to shell out a few bucks on it (unlisted on discogs or 45 rpm) 'Keep Your Hand Off It' just goes for it and is a damn fine ditty, comedy saucy lyrics and top notch sound all the way, rip roaring lead guitar and fiddle! wow!

The B side is sung in French and is a very old Cajun song from the early 30's and is basically about a fella who is going to steal the young love of his life from the family by climbing through their window at night! who said 78's are bland and boring!

Rick Johnson AKA Gordon Ritter wrote and sung both sides of this top little record on the Khoury label from Lake Charles, Louisiana. Bayou hits was a bold statement but here we have a cool slice of country.
Both sides just ooze quality and Ricks voice is strong and pleasant but it also has an edge which at times sounds really cool. Plenty of steel, Piano and fiddle makes this a lovely B side and "Gotta Get Back" is the tune that swings for sure!
